Lady Justice
JUDGE WANDA DALLAS

Justice means different things depending on where you find yourself in this complicated criminal justice system. If you are in court facing a Judge, you want justice to be fair. You want to be seen, and have your particular story heard. You want to invoke the mercy of the Court. You want the entirety of your life to be understood. If you or a loved one is a victim of a crime, you want justice to be swift. You want your pain to be felt and your level of suffering to be tangible.
If you are a court participant, whether you are an attorney representing either party, you want justice to be balanced, as the scales of justice are purported to be. You want justice to be color blind, or at least colorless. I agree with each version of justice and purpose myself to always be aware of the respective expectations of all.
I stand by the scripture that requires me to
“Do Justice, Love Mercy, and Walk Humbly”. If I act honorably by carrying myself with humility and remain cognizant of the fact that “To whom much is given, much is required”, then I will always take my own wants, desires, needs, or expectations out of the equation. To be a neutral, detached, and honorable jurist, who exemplifies the various roles and expectations of Lady Justice is what justice must mean, and what I must stand on unflinchingly.

MY VISION
Vision – is an ability to see. To “see” something that you imagine. In other words, to give life to a picture that you see in your mind.
In all of my legal training and life’s experiences, I have purposed myself to see beyond what others can only imagine.
My goal is to assist each person with identifying your individual gifts, talents, and abilities and cultivate a concrete plan and establish a direction for your life. We are losing the essence of true living, when we fail to see our destiny and plan for our futures. “Where there is no vision, the people perish”.
Do Justice Love Kindness Walk Humbly
